GINGIN started with three sisters, Otalia, Leila and Melissa & a shared love for statement jewelry that expresses your personality.

Jewelry has always been part of our lives. Our mother used to sell jewelry at markets in Africa, and growing up, we were always surrounded by it. In West African culture, jewelry holds an important place. You get dressed, you put on your jewelry. No skipping!

Naturally we grew up playing with jewelry and saw how one piece could completely change an outfit. We especially loved the statement pieces, the ones people notice and ask you about.

That’s where GINGIN came from.
